DYK is quickly on our way to bringing excellent prestressed concrete tank technology to the Eastern United States region. DYK is excited to start construction on two 32 million gallon tanks for the City of Syracuse, New York. These two covered prestressed concrete water reservoirs will replace an existing open reservoir and will increase Syracuse’s water storage capacity by about 50 percent. DYK is proud to be involved in this project, which will safely and reliably supply water to the City of Syracuse and the surrounding neighborhood for years to come.
DYK Tank Wins Statewide Award
You may recall that DYK completed the largest concrete water tank of its kind in the world for the Vallecitos Water District in San Marcos, California. This 40 million gallon reservoir has been selected to receive numerous local San Diego awards, and has also recently been selected for its first statewide award. The Structural Engineering Society of California awarded the 40 million gallon reservoir an Award of Merit in the Special Use Structures Category of its 2008 Excellence in Structural Engineering Awards Program. DYK is proud to have been involved with this remarkable project.
Construction & Prestressing Operations Tour in San Ramon, CA
DYK Incorporated, a leader in the design and construction of prestressed concrete water storage tanks, recently held a successful tour of the construction and prestressing operations underway on the 1.8 MG “R3000” Recycled Water Tank and 2.2 MG “Scenic South” Tank in San Ramon, California. Prior to the jobsite visit DYK hosted a luncheon with nearly 80 attendees. Following the luncheon, the group proceeded to the jobsite to view the tank construction and prestressing operations. If you would like more information regarding our upcoming prestressing and construction tours please contact us.
