Automated, High Pressure Hydro-Blasting

DYK's newly developed automated hydro-blasting process uses a high-pressure water blast to clean and etch the concrete tank wall instead of employing conventional abrasives like sand or beads. This environmentally friendly water blasting process eliminates the dust normally associated with sandblasting.

Our automated hydro-blaster provides far better quality control than manual applications and is much quieter than conventional nozzle blasting. The machinery is interfaced to allow the hydro-blaster to be carried, powered and controlled by DYK's strand-wrapping machinery for maximum efficiency.

Hydro-blasting makes a deeper cut into the concrete surface for better surface preparation and superior adhesion of the subsequently applied shotcrete.
